It able to remove proteins, excess RNA, metabolites and other PCR inhibitors to deliver superior DNA purity and excellent integrity making it suitable for most of the downstream applications such as PCR, restriction analysis and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).

Purity – Tomato Leaves Sample
Tomato leaf DNA (50 mg) was extracted using PrimeMag Plant Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (KIT-9230), alongside three column kits (S, QD, QP) and two magnetic bead kits (N, G). PrimeMag consistently delivers higher gDNA yield and superior purity compared with alternative extraction methods.

Purity – Oil Palm Leaves Sample
Oil palm leaf DNA (50 mg) was extracted using PrimeMag Plant Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (KIT-9230), alongside three column kits (S, QD, QP) and two magnetic bead kits (N, G). PrimeMag consistently delivers higher gDNA yield and superior purity compared with alternative extraction methods.

Purity – Seed Samples
From 50 mg of plant seed samples, including vegetable (cucumber), field crop (cotton, corn, wheat), oil (sunflower, soybean), the PrimeMag Plant Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (KIT-9230) demonstrating its stronger extraction efficiency across plant samples delivers higher gDNA yield and superior purity ratio of A260/280 is between 1.6 – 2.0.

Purity - Free from PCR-Inhibitors
Genomic DNA extracted from 50mg of leaf samples using PrimeMag Plant Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (KIT-9230), including vegetable (tomato, corn, cassava), Herbs/Spices (ginger, pandan, basil), Fruits (coconut, papaya, banana, jackfruit), Industrial/Plantation (bamboo, rice, oil palm). 10 ng of genomic DNA was used for amplification of the rbcL gene. 1 µL of the resulting amplicon was analysed on a 1% agarose gel.

High DNA Integrity
A DNA Integrity Number (DIN) score greater than 8 indicates that the genomic DNA (gDNA) extracted using the PrimeMag Plant Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (KIT-9230) is highly intact with minimal degradation, reflecting a high level of DNA integrity suitable for demanding downstream applications such as Next-Generation Sequencing.

Convenience for Automation
Genomic DNA was extracted from plant samples using PrimeMag Plant Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (KIT-9230), including oil palm leaf (1), tomato leaf (2), rice leaf (3), coconut leaf (4), wheat seed (5), and tomato stem (6) using 96 wells liquid handling system. This automated platform enables high-throughput DNA extraction with improved efficiency and consistency across multiple samples simultaneously.
Sample inputs are 50 mg (a, b, c) and 100 mg (x, y, z). gDNA are showing consistently high DNA purity that is readily for downstream application like NGS library preps or other molecular biology operation.

DNA extracted from 100mg of leaf samples using PrimeMag Plant Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (KIT-9230). Increasing the amount of starting material (e.g., from 50 mg to 100 mg of leaf or tissue) generally leads to a higher total DNA yield, assuming the extraction chemistry has sufficient buffer capacity and binding surface.

One Kit, From Leaf to Root Samples
Genomic DNA from tomato samples from leave, stem and root was extracted using PrimeMag Plant Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (KIT-9230). The gDNA purity ratio of (A260/280) is around 2.0 and able to be used for downstream application directly.

Reliable DNA Yield at Any Temperature
Both gDNA from tomato and oil palm are extracted using PrimeMag Plant Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (KIT-9230) at different elution temperature. The results showed that there is no significantly different in the yield and quality of the gDNA. The extraction method performed at room temperature efficiently produces high-quality genomic DNA while reducing energy consumption.


Competitor Study – Oil Palm Leaf & Tomato Leaf
50 mg of leaf samples or seed samples were extracted with different plant extraction kits. The gel shows 50 ng of gDNA extracted from PrimeMag, three column extraction kits (S, QD, QP) and two magnetic beads extraction kits (N, G) (upper figure). The lower graph illustrates DNA yield (primary axis), purity (A260/280 and A260/230, secondary axis) and ratio of spectrometer reading (S)/ Fluorometer reading (F), in which PrimeMag is significantly outperform the standard spin-column extraction kit and Brand G magnetic extraction kit in most sample type.
