PrimeWay® Spin Column

Nucleic acid extraction is a fundamental process in molecular biology that enables a variety of applications such as cloning and sequencing among others. PrimeWay® spin columns simplify and speed up the process of nucleic acid extraction resulting in high quality nucleic acids for downstream processing.

PrimeMag Nucleic Acid Extraction Kits utilize a magnetic bead–based technology to isolate and purify nucleic acids, such as DNA and RNA, from a wide range of biological samples. Following cell or tissue lysis, magnetic beads selectively bind nucleic acids. Upon application of a magnetic field, the bead-bound nucleic acids are rapidly separated from contaminants in the supernatant, which can then be removed. Subsequent washing and elution steps yield high-quality purified nucleic acids suitable for downstream applications.

This technique requires minimal centrifugation and is well suited for high-throughput and automated workflows.
